Rabbit Breeds

Rabbits come in many different colors and sizes. They range in size from the small Dwarf Hotot to the larger Flemish Giant. They can be as white as snow or have spots. Their ears can stand erect or droop as seen in the lop-eared breeds.

The American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) recognizes many different breeds of rabbits. Some are dated back over a century but breeders continue to try to improve on current breeds. Not only are rabbits a popular animal for the showring but they can make wonderful pets. Along with the domestic rabbit breeds, there are many different breeds that still roam in the wild.
